Having won the Jupiler Pro League last season, they are falling way short of maintain those high standards this term. The Belgians have collected just one win in the last seven matches across all competitions and suffered a 3-2 league defeat against Sporting Charleroi last weekend.

Kick-off time: 3pm EDT

Venue: Bosuilstadion

The Champions League Group H encounter between Antwerp and Porto will be played at Bosuilstadion in Antwerp, Belgium on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Kick-off is at 3pm EDT for fans in the United States.

Royal Antwerp could be without as many as seven players for this Group H clash, with Mandela Keita joining the treatment room after he was forced off in the first half of the defeat to Charleroi at the weekend. Antwerp boss Van Bommel may opt to give Alhassan Yusuf his first Champions League start in Keita's absence.

Porto will make the trip to Antwerp without Ivan Marcano (knee), Gabriel Veron (knock), Wendell (Achilles), Zaidu Sanusi (muscle) and Pepe (muscle) due to various injury issues, while Stephen Eustaquio and Ivan Jaime are unlikely to feature after missing the 2-0 victory over Vilar de Perdizes.

Having lost their opening two games in Group H of the Champions League, Antwerp are currently rooted to the bottom of the table, three points and two places behind Wednesday’s visitors.

Porto, on the other hand, booked their spot in the fourth round of the Taca de Portugal courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Vilar Perdizes last Friday.

This followed a 1-0 victory over Portimonense in the Primeira Liga on October 8 which brought their run of two back-to-back defeats to an end.

Porto now turn their attention to the Champions League, where they kicked off their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on September 19, two weeks before suffering a 1-0 loss to Barcelona.

Porto appear to have hit their stride once again and will be backing themselves against the hosts, who have managed just one win in their last seven matches.

Antwerp have conceded eight goals already in the Champions League and we predict the Portuguese side will claim a slender victory in this one.
